Penny Wise

Penny Wise

Penny Wise... welcome back to the Windy City Neighbors Series! Just like Derailed and Grounded, this book is all about family, community, and "shoe-leather Christianity." The people of Beecham Street are walking out their faith, wrestling with relationships and working together when the going gets tough.

This episode focuses on the Jaspers family. Their kids- school bullies and self esteem issues and packed schedules and a long summer coming.
Their marriage- lack of communication and tension filling their times together, work that takes them away all day long.

This is a satisfying read. It is funny at times and sweet, and it is always quite relatable.
I think I love Grace Meredith and her story Grounded best, with my next favorite being ex-cop Harry Bentley's in Derailed, but Penny Wise also steals a piece of your heart.

I think these three books would make a beautiful gift, all bundled together. Maybe even a house warming gift, considering that the stories are all about new neighbors and the joy they bring to our lives!

Thank you Litfuse for the chance to be a part of this book review tour.
